How does the box design process work?

How does the box design process work?

Each box starts at the structural design stage. This consists of determining the carton’s dimensions (L x W x H), style, and paperboard material. With this information, our design team can create samples of the structure and send them to the customer for approval. The customer may also supply a sample of their product so our design team can build a carton around it.

Once the structure is approved, we can start designing the artwork that will be printed on your cartons. You may provide us with any existing art, logos, colours, or work with our art team to create a new design. Once we’ve prepared the files for our offset litho press, we will send you a proof for approval.

How much can I expect to spend on my first order?

How much can I expect to spend on my first order?

Your first order will include the price of the cartons, the one-time purchase of your steel rule die, and a file prep and output proof charge. If your second order is the same art and size as your previous order, you’ll only be paying for the cartons.

What is a die and do I need one?

What is a die and do I need one?

A steel rule die is tooling used during the die cutting process to cut your sheets into the shape of your box. Think of it as a giant cookie cutter. Our customers own their die once it’s purchased at the start of their first order. They’re maintained by Ingersoll Paper Box for the duration of your time with us.
